Pilates is a mat based form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates. It emphasises the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement.
These exercises are designed to help improve flexibility, condition and strengthen your core muscles, (transverses abdominus & multifidus). Using low impact moves and gradual progression this class will make a major difference to body tone and definition. During a class you will exercise all your muscle groups, and notice the areas of strengths or weaknesses which can be worked on to increase symmetry.
Pilates is suitable for everyone and can be broken down to suit everyone, from beginners to advanced level.
